Wild Goddess Prayers

The Goddess invokes

a life-sprouting spell.

“Let there be light.”

The daffodils answer

like delicate, unfolding suns,

warmed and held in Her body of soil.

These cycles of being,

turn in our hearts–

the cradle of winter behind us.

There is only light and moonlight.

Moonflowers silvered with dawn.

The gorgeous rise−

all citrus and rose,

She blushes our skin with

Her infinite heartbeat,

Her divine, sacred growth,

dark roots spreading

to muscle and vein,

skin, and stems.

Cycles of sunlight,

cycles like heartbeats,

like breath.

Returned are the songs

of robins in motion,

their forever circles of

fledgling care.

The Goddess holds them

and you,

my dear friend−

Her petals unfold

in your honeybee heart.

We are growing again−

hungry branches

drenched in sun,

leaves unfurling,

vital and fresh.

All this love to feed the world,

to know the world.

The Goddess knows us because

She is woven

in our mossy hearts,

our springs of glory,

our trials and love,

always Her Love

in how we hold ourselves,

like fresh-stemmed,

delicate daffodils,

like cherished gifts,

like rainbows after

Spring-fed rain,

like worm-dug tunnels,

ever-rich and rising.

The Star-Flower Goddess

brings courage.

Awaken! Revealed,

remembered,

spring-lit.

Bold as sunflowers,

we drink the rain–

drops of Her love on our tongues.

These are Her spells,

these wild Goddess prayers
